Biography

Karen Armitage is a child health advocate for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the New Mexico Chapter of AAP. As volunteer faculty at University of New Mexico, she designed the Clinical MPH degree track at the UNM College of Population Health (COPH) and teaches health policy for medical students, residents, clinical fellows and PA students. She has been an attending physician in the New Mexico Legislative Session Rotation for UNM Family Medicine and Pediatric Residents for over 20 years.
